Start a Chapter

Bring College Democrats to your campus.

Don’t see your school listed? Start a chapter and build a community of student organizers on your campus. College Democrats of Georgia provides the support and guidance you need to get started.

How It Works

I’d make this a simple 3–4 step process.

1. Build Your Team

Gather a group of students interested in forming a College Democrats chapter on your campus.

2. Get Organized

Establish your chapter leadership, membership, and campus organization structure.

3. Submit Your Application

Submit your chapter application and required documentation to the College Democrats of Georgia Executive Board.

4. Get Chartered

Once your application is reviewed and approved, you’ll officially join the College Democrats of Georgia federation.

What You’ll Need

Active Membership

Your chapter should have an active membership of students at your institution.

Chapter Leadership

Identify the students who will serve as your chapter’s leadership and primary contacts.

Governing Documents

Your chapter must operate in accordance with the governing documents of College Democrats of Georgia.

Chapter Application

Submit the required application and supporting documentation to the CDG Executive Board for review.

What Does “Chartered” Mean?

A charter officially recognizes your organization as a College Democrats of Georgia chapter.

Chartered chapters become part of our statewide federation and gain access to CDG’s network, resources, leadership opportunities, trainings, and statewide programming.

Ready to Get Started?

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you reach out. Start with a few students who want to make a difference, and we’ll help you take it from there.
